Modernising Aged Care Technology Through a Trusted Partnership. As a long-standing communications and technology provider, R & O Communications identified an opportunity to assist Yukana in upgrading its ageing care technology systems. Based in Toowoomba, R & O Communications has built a strong reputation for delivering communications, technology, and infrastructure solutions across regional Queensland. Through its partnership with Talius, R & O Communications is able to provide aged care providers with access to industry leading healthcare technology solutions supported by local expertise and ongoing service. Having carefully evaluated available technologies, R & O Communications selected Talius as its preferred healthcare technology partner, recognising the strength of the Talius integrated platform and its ability to deliver long term value to aged care providers. Working collaboratively with Yukana and Talius, R & O Communications developed a solution designed to meet the facility's current needs while creating a foundation for future innovation.

Integrated Care Technology Deployment. To support its vision of delivering world class, technology enabled care, New Direction Care partnered with Talius to implement an integrated care technology platform that would enhance resident safety while preserving the freedom and independence that are central to its care model. Talius was engaged to design, supply, install, and commission a fully integrated care technology solution comprising: Talius Nurse Call System, Talius Track Resident Location and Safety Solution; Vitalerter Sleep Monitoring Technology The objective was to create a seamless ecosystem that improves resident safety, enhances staff efficiency, and provides greater visibility into resident wellbeing without compromising resident autonomy.

About New Direction Care New Direction Care is one of Australia's most innovative aged care providers and is internationally recognised for its award-winning MICRO TOWN® model of care. Located in Bellmere, Queensland, the community has been purpose built to challenge traditional institutional aged care and create an environment that closely replicates everyday suburban living. The Bellmere community accommodates approximately 120 residents across 17 domestic style homes situated on six residential streets within a vibrant village environment. Each home accommodates seven residents who live together based on lifestyle preferences and shared interests, fostering a genuine sense of community and belonging. At the heart of the New Direction Care philosophy is a commitment to freedom, independence, dignity, and choice. Residents are encouraged to maintain normal daily routines, participate in household activities, socialise with neighbours, and enjoy access to a range of community facilities including a café, wellness hub, cinema, GP services, allied health providers, and recreational spaces. Unlike traditional aged care facilities, New Direction Care promotes freedom of movement and supports residents to live as independently as possible while still receiving the care and clinical support they require.
